The text entry box is really wide when sending a privmsg (goes off the edge of the browser window). But still great.

What is the purpose of sending a private REPLY?.... when I suggested an instant messaging system... some of u guys called it lame and dumb... i dont see the purpose in Privat PM's....

Say you wan't to send someone a porno link, now these kinds of things are forbidden on the message boards, but PM'ing it is no problem (well thats one example LOL)

Web sites served the way this one is don't have persistent connections, so it would be all smoke and mirrors if I could make it look like messages are really delivered "instantly" unless someone ran some separate software, which is what ICQ and AIM are for. Thus, we'd might as well have ways to use them that only make sense given that they are delivered just like regular forum messages.
YOU may not have asked for them to be used this way, but others have.
