IE worked it pretty well, although I dont have any idea what the whole gopher iste is about... I have a whole book from back in the mid nineties full of gopher sites. It was the world wide web unleashed I believe.

I have that book. You may notice that it was written before the HTML standard was even properly finalized!

Yeah its badly written and not very good but there are a couple of pages on wais/gopher ( wais is a virus that can only survive in gopher - that what modernisation made to it. wais was just too old standalone )
