...Curious to know how its going.

How many people are you mentoring?

There are a few who have asked for mentee status, but only a few questions asked.

One person asked me to mentor them, but said wouldn't be on their computer till after December.

ok Itinitl, I am back now. I am going to review some of what you have written me in the email, then I will get back to you with my questions ASAP.

Okee!

Nobody contacted me for mentoring.

Thats not a surprise... WHAT? Who said that? LOL

Posted by RedX [send private reply] at December 03, 2002, 01:01:11 PM

Codered: That wasn't very nice.

No, that's not really a surprise I must admit. Newcomers here adopt the "1 question, 1 visit" philosophy.

Maybe we should put a big IF YOUR A NEWCOMER, GET A MENTOR RATHER THAN ASK SIMPLE QUESTIONS WHICH ARE GOING TO GET YOU SLATED just above the "post thread" box of the forums for those people with less than say ten or twenty posts (And yes, if you can't be bothered doing the work, even though it'd be simple, I'll do it for you).

I'm not the one who can tell you "Do It", or "Don't Do It". And no, I can't be bothered learning to code for an engine that is going to die in few months or so.

Posted by regretfuldaydreamer [send private reply] at December 03, 2002, 04:37:45 PM

This engine is simple to code for. As long as you know Java or some other C style language you can pick it up like ... that (that would sound good if it was spoken, not written)

Posted by gian [send private reply] at December 04, 2002, 02:00:06 AM

If you know HTML then you can pick it up :-)

Posted by ItinitI [send private reply] at December 04, 2002, 02:19:11 PM

Eh? Sorry, buts what engine?

Posted by regretfuldaydreamer [send private reply] at December 04, 2002, 02:36:37 PM

Euther way, its simple, I grasped it in about half an hour.

Posted by gian [send private reply] at December 05, 2002, 12:00:38 AM

The Devlocus template engine.
