OS building is pretty hard(as I discovered when I suggested a group TPU os a few months ago). First I suggest tinkering with Linux a bit.

First of all this is the suggestions forum, secondly you can't find a good tutorial because of the lack of people that have actually created a working operating system. This is a difficult thing to do and you will not be able to find a hand holding guide to doing it, you will pretty much be on your own.
