Keep these projects?

2 of the project areas now come from projects with some work already done on them by the people currently in charge of those areas. I am wondering if it is a good idea to suddenly lump them in here as learning projects. What does everyone think? Should all learning projects be completely developed by TPU members collaboratively from the start? I like taubz's idea of coming up with tutorials based on experiences in developing the projects from start to finish. I'm thinking it might be more appropriate for people who want to recruit for existing projects to just do so in the General forum.

After some thought... I'm wondering whether these are learning projects at all too. There seemed to be a lot of support for them, however, which REALLY suprised me. There must be a ton of people going through this site that don't normally post anything, and these projects - learning or not - at least are doing something right (for now).

I'm very curious to see how these projects turn out.

Me too.
I think we have to be very careful about how they are managed.

I think I've noticed that too... espcially when you see a project that isn't sure about being open source... these are learning projects, not profit projects, right...? Anyway, I haven't wanted to program recently, so I'll go back to do whatever i was doing.....
