Meeting on Saturday, June 2?
Posted by Psion [send private reply] at May 25, 2001, 07:29:56 PM Would this work out for an IRC meeting (in #tpu on EFNet, of course) to discuss the future direction of TPU? The general time that's been floating around is 2 PM EST, 6 PM GMT. I think it would be good to get a bunch of willing volunteers working on turning TPU into some sort of powerhorse or another. :-) Feel free to fill this thread in the interim with possible ideas, to be discussed then or just voiced here.
Posted by Setherd123 [send private reply] at May 26, 2001, 01:00:55 AM I'd be working around that time, and without being able to show up, my evil ways of convincing people to use Python for all their handy-dandy, programming needs, then the meeting would be totally unsuccessful.
Memorial Day, sometime late late at night, or early early in the morning would be best, I think.
Posted by gian [send private reply] at May 26, 2001, 04:56:04 PM I was thinking... what about 6 EST? It means it is a more reasonable time for most people I think, although I'm yet to check how this would affect europeans.
Posted by Psion [send private reply] at May 26, 2001, 08:05:48 PM That's 10 to 12 PM in the most common time zones for European personages in TPU.
Posted by sphinX [send private reply] at June 03, 2001, 05:50:01 AM so? 6pm gmt is around 4 in the morning for gian and i?
Posted by gian [send private reply] at June 05, 2001, 04:28:30 PM I can handle late nights, but if I had to get up at 4am, I would be bitching and flaming like you've never seen.
Posted by Linux_Penguin [send private reply] at June 08, 2001, 09:24:09 PM During the summer I doubt to many of us would really care when the meetings are.
Posted by taubz [send private reply] at June 09, 2001, 07:23:45 PM At this rate, we're not going to have any meetings. I suggest on Saturdays, from 3PM - 10PM, come when you can and for as long as you can. Howabout it?
Posted by Psion [send private reply] at June 09, 2001, 07:48:38 PM Sounds good to me. I'll put it on the front page. :-)
Posted by sphinX [send private reply] at June 11, 2001, 02:57:11 AM is that 3-10pm est = 6pm - 1am GST = 4am - 11am GMT+10....am i correct? if so, then sounds like a good time, and i can be there for the last 3 or 4 hours, depending on how early i can get up
Posted by sphinX [send private reply] at June 13, 2001, 12:34:43 AM Yes, even better for you sheep people. Only kidding, not all NZ people love their sheep, just the clever ones.
Those times are, of course, assuming that I can count.
