How about telling us who started each thread in addition to who last posted in them?

Thats a good idea. I was just thinking about that as I clicked on this topic's link.

Sure, that's reasonable for after we have transferred this site as is, which will probably be some time next week.

I personally think that adding more text to the thread lines is going to make it more cluttered. I agree we need to know who started a thread (at a glance, as we can just scroll to the bottom of the thread), but I think for that information to be immediately read and understand, the top level forums need to be reorganised, perhaps just the addition of a table to line things up?

Thats a good idea, I don't know if any of you have checked out mandrakeuser.org, but they have a pretty nice forum setup. I don't want to put to much work on the tpu admins but maybe a design like it might be for tpu in the future?

LOL, me too! If you're adding more info to each line for the topics then you might want to put it into a table like UBB? (sry about mentioning UBB, but I don't see whats wrong with it other than being commerical)
