phpBB?

I serously think you guys should use this Bulliten Board(phpbb) dealy thing... I mean the way the boards are now is just confusing... you can't really navigate it's just a mess...

Mess? There are three boards (if you don't count the members's lounge that no one uses)! The layout here is great. If you want TPU to switch to a new BB, then set up one that has all of the features of the current TPU first...maybe you can change Psion's opinion (I doubt it though). Except for the evil license of Tea, the current boards are great.

There is no reason to switch the software just to change the page layout.

Perhaps you're not "trustworthy" enough. ;-)

Not dissing the layout but everyone does love phpbb! maybee youll get more ppl glued to the site if you switched

This isn't a popularity contest. Personally I run 2 phpBB boards (well 3, but one is in the process of switching server), and I really don't see a reason to switch this one. It works, it's easy to use, and you more or less define your own look.. What more could you want? :)

I really hate the layout of phpBB, therefore your "everyone does love phpbb" is invalid.

Gian: The beautiful part is that there's no part of it you can't change as you see fit. :)

As is the same with Devlocus. The only difference is that I know how to use Devlocus!

stick to what you know, that way if something goes wrong you have a better chance of fixing it :)

Gian.. Relax buddy. I never encouraged the switch here. I know that this works just as it's supposed to, so there's no need to switch. I just said that I like phpBB for the boards that I run......

So this is how the webadministrators version of the programming language war looks like. :O)

I love this board, I think its better than so many of the boards I have seen out there, its simple and theres no added junk. If you really want something changed on this all you have to do is ask... whereas with other boards you have to wait for an update which may not have what you want. So I guess Im sayin stick with this one (not like I had to say anything at all!(1 more to the meager post number I have!!))

Oh I totally agree with the part about having to ask here. Also, you're right about many boards being bloated. However, I don't believe that's the main reason for keeping it as it is.. No, in my opinion, the reason for keeping this board is simply that it's made by people here, and it works as it should.

For my own sites, I was going to make a board-system, but couldn't find the time, so I finally decided to just go along with phpBB, which I like, but would never recommend over something you can do yourself, and just as good (which I honestly think this one is). :o)
