Independant Curriculum Project

Posted by Brok3n_Link [send private reply] at July 29, 2002, 05:32:11 AM

hi
I'm doing an Independant Curriculum Project for school as one of my electives, and I need a programming project. I'm pretty hot in VB (databasing, AlphaBlending, email, winsock) and was wondering what your suggestions were? I need a general app, like a word processor(NNNOOO) or something.
Anything wouldb e appreciated. thanx

Or a libary book system ... there simple enough. Should fit in with your database knowledge.

An adult video store? That would be fun, making up names for each of the movies they had LOL

OT but but funny: http://www.kuro5hin.org/story/2002/7/28/82347/9773 . (someone in #space told me about it, then a few days later a k5 story appeared. This is funny).

Implement your own Scheme system for the project :) All the cool kids are doing it.

lol, no codered, we were given all the video's to put in. but it wasnt a bad project. It wasnt very hard, but it was big, and demonstrated that we could create a fully-fledged application. I got top marks for it also :)

ok thanx guys, more suggestions would be nice!
Independant Curriculum is an elect course in whichthe student can choose a project\area of learning of his\her choice. Since tyhi'll be in Year 10 (australia, uh... 3rd year high school) the once 'programming' course is hell crap, html and klik and play and micro worlds, this saounds like a sweet choice.
thanx guys

Our school has the same course, but it's only offered in OAC (5th year in Ontario) and I have to take a French course in the period that the Independant Programming is offered in. =( Sounds like an awesome course too.

Maybe you could do an FTP program...that would be easy enough I assume, and pretty cool too.

Clik and play? LMFAO, Clik and play couldn't program it's way out of a wet paper bag.

I have a copy of Klik and Play here somewhere. Reminds me I still have to go out and bury it somewhere together with Tekwar.

Instead of burying it I can give it to my worst enemy! Then again, that would probably get my sued for violating the human rights.

What a nostalgic thread.
Was I one of the only people who could make a half assed scrolling and cheap effects?

Allright, allright: no more signatures.
