I have just bought a book on Perl - and i've only read a few pages but it seems like a pretty basic language so far... but that's only cos they've shown the basics... hehe, it's cool this book tho, cos they showed the basic cookie monster trick... anyway, do you guys think it's a good language to learn??
I would appreciate any feedback, and tips if possible :) Thanks in advance Sam R

Perl I find is the most easy to program web-related tasks language... but, I haven't used PHP extensively or other languages. It's my second favorite language, after Java. I would definitely learn it.

PHP is quite a bit simpler than PERL, but just as powerful (Well, in my mind at least). It's probably a good stepping stone to PERL.

Yeah.. PHP is indeed powerful and good, and just as easy (if not easier) to install than PERL. :)

That's so not true. Unless that was an image representing regular expressions in Perl... in which case, it's true.
