CS girls? Who, like me? Yeah. I can only assume there are a few, anyhow. Outside of TPU, my experience has been about 1 in thirty or forty, which is a really sucky ratio, and I hope isn't true in RL. 'Sucky' in that I've had bad experience with tech guys passing me off as "some chick" that doesn't know anything just because I happen to be a girl. Of course, I've met some really *nice* guys in tech too, including my current bf, so I guess it takes all kinds.

ok, very very uncalled for --- not to mention offensive and annoying. you're only showing your imaturity here lordaerom.

btw, chollman, what's up with the 6 case fans??? i have a t-bird 1.2 overclocked to 1.3 with a single fan/heatsink combo that idles at 38degreesC and never goes above 53. That's with the 45gb ata100 fugitsu drive, an lg 8x burner, a 10x dvd drive and an asus v7700 geforce2 gts generating heat.... 6 fans? a little overkill....

oh....and my system is also wired into my 80W amp plus 4 speakers in my room, although I'm not sure why you chose to inlcude that useless inform (I know i don't know why i did).

and i have a 3.5 gpa ..... or something....sheesh

i have a celeron :( don't laugh... i'm only 16... 800mhz, but i overclock it to about 950... goes really smooth.. 64mg GeForce2MX video card, DMX Xfire sound card, *perfect* quality sound no matter what it comes out of. um, taht's about the only decent stuff... but yeah, i thought i'd get my 2 bobsworth in

have_dinner: Nothing to be ashamed of... up until last year I was using a P1-200. But alas... those were the days... but now I have a P3, but my real pride and joy is my SGI Indy R5000. Oh yes... now this machine is quite old, general vacinity of 4/5 years, and yet... that Mips R5000 RISC chip is actually faster than my P3 machine! 64MB Ram, 64MB graphic card. RAID Array... SCSI... And you wanna know the best thing? This chip (Which is running at about 1000Mhz, after you factor in RISC) has nothing but 1 little heatsink :-)

If you ask me they had a good thing going with P2. MMX was pretty nice... why didn't they implement it on any of their other chips? My PC is mediocre, not that great, but still worth a mention I guess. 384 megs SDRAM pretty sure @ 100mhz, matrox millenium G200 graphics card, 3 18-24 gig swappable hard drives which are western digital, another bay for extra hard drive, a generic cd-rw, and Im pretty sure it is all SCSI, the processor is a P3 500mhz, and it is a super micro motherboard. The monitor is a 17 inch sony 200gs. It runs bryce and photoshop fine but, I have been looking to find out how I can overclock my processor.

Yeah.. I think there are actually forums and chatrooms where you can throw mud at eachother. :o) I used to be a christian, but recently converted to agnosticism.. Doesn't mean I hate christians, and certainly not that I intentionally write messages to insult/annoy them.

There are christians, atheists, agnostics, and who knows what other religions, represented in TPU, so I think it would be best to follow Psion's good advice and just give it a rest.

Oh and sorry if this post insults anyone.. It shouldn't, but you never know.. :o)

Yours is the least insulting AngelOD. What I don't understand is that gian claims how he is allowed to believe whatever he wants, and then rags on Christians. Aren't Christians allowed to believe whatever they want too? If that's not being a little hypocritical then I don't know what is. I thought TPU was supposed to be a group of people here to respect each other as community memebers. All this talk is doing is alienating members, causing bitterness and generally lowering the quality of TPU down to what can only be equated with a rowdy pre-school playground. Please grow up, people.
