java: filefunctions?

does there are some filefunctions for work with directorys files and so one? please help me

The Java tutorial has good coverage for file/IO function but I had to search Google for infos on how to use directories.

The java.io.File class can access files and directories. For directories, you can use the "list" method too see all the files in the directory.
