can anyone tell me where I can get "basic" on my computer. Also could anyone tell me where to get a free C++

For BASIC, Google for: LibertyBASIC, DarkBasic or QBasic.
For C++, Google for: Dev C++ But both of these language are not recommended for people starting programming (and you obviously are!). I suggest you carefully read: http://wiki.tpu.org/fhp/LearnProgramming And you may change your mind.

and qbasic should be on your windows cd, assuming you use windows
