Does anyone know how to query information from MS SQL 7, then write that information to a new file (a .cgi file), and then update other files (write to an existing .cgi file)

I am really stuck.

* gian looks around to see if anyone else fully understood that request...

I'm sortof guessing that you want to query a MS SQL 7 database, then write the results of that query to a file, and then write to some other files?

I believe there is a MS SQL perl module, look on CPAN(www.cpan.org) for the Mssql module?

Yes that is correct, I want to query SQL post the results to a new *.cgi file and at the same time edit an existing *.cgi file

moneyluv, can you explain is more detail what you're trying to do? I'm also completely confused.

For MySQL, downloading and compiling stuff was necessary. Might be the same for MSql. Might even be the same packages. The top three items listed at http://www.mysql.com/downloads/api-dbi.html were necessary for me. That's assuming you can download and compile a new module to use.
