Disabling menus, VC

'ello. I'm working on a VC++ project, created by the MFC App Wizard, which uses menus loaded from a menu resource...

I'm trying to disable menu items (using EnableMenuItem or ModifyMenu), but I can't seem to get it to work. When I disable/gray the item, it doesn't change anything, but when I use TrackPopupMenu on the menu bar the menus appear grayed appropriately.

I've called DrawMenuBar to no avail.

What's up with that? Thanks if anyone can help.

Nevermind... stupid microsoft not making their documentation clear enough. I found the answer in the KB.
