Depends what you are after a Good book for Advanced users or a " Dummies " book ( not reccomended ) for begginers. THe best , I am sure you can find at www.macmillan-press.com or .co.uk :(.

For some tools try and for a good book I would suggest , Sams Publishing , certainly good books . If you are after cheap books , that is a different matter , another suggestion would be to print books online.

You seem to be confused as to whether you want to learn Javascript or Java. Please tell us which one actually interests you, then someone knowledgable might be able to assist sometime before hell starts becoming the snowball fight arena of choice.
