editing a .d2s file for version 1.09d

Posted by drew [send private reply] at April 05, 2002, 03:07:13 AM

hi, i am trying to change the experience for one of my diablo 2 characters. i converted the experience for one of my chars to a hexadecimal number and opened the .d2s file and found its location but after i edit it the game keeps bringing up generic bad file. Also, the same with the amount of gold in stash. I find the hex number in file that represents the amount of gold in stash but i cant change this either because there are other numbers on that row that change which do not represent the amount of gold in stash.

Since when did the idiots decide that TPU was their private place to be dumb? Use google if you want to find something like this. http://www.google.com/search?q=diablo+2+character+editor would appear to have what you want.

I think that we should have a dialog box when you post a message that goes "Have you checked google yet?".

Then add three buttons to it:
-yes
-no
-What's google?

I don't think we need to be so rude. =)

well at least we should suggest to newbies to try google first. maybe put it at the top of the forum. If someone says "i have looked on (google/ other good search engine) and cant find anything on it" and then asks for help thats fine. But when they dont even bother, that irritates me as it shows no initiative or enthusiasm to solve their own problems

So DAFGS instead of RTFM
