MicroSoft Disscussion Area

This is your place to share or ask anything you want to on MicroSoft.

Why? Are you an undercover MS exec looking for customer feedback? Here's some, instead of making a fancy little error screen (the BSOD) how about just FIXING THE ERRORS.

Posted by taubz [send private reply] at April 16, 2002, 07:46:22 PM

Firstly, the S is not capitalized, so he can't be an exec.

Secondly, MS is really not worth discussing. They are a good company (minus some strange business practices) which produces some very very good software. Most people hate Microsoft for the wrong reasons, and I don't think we should be fueling that.

If you don't like it, don't use it! We don't want to know about it though.

Microsoft is a gr8 company. It is taking care of its employees quite well. They have an online support facility and people are working there. If their products dont have errors, where will these people go?????

Further more, ur fingers need exercise , so they make u touch the reset button now and then.!!!! :)

I'm curious about the name of the next windows. using those year additions is old, the next millenium is still 997 years away and XP2 sounds more like a network protocol.
Perhaps it finaly will be Windows TOAW (This One Actually Works) But I think it will be Windows CICSI (Cool, It Compiles, Ship It)

See but I wasn't making this a hate channel and we did get a good lil discussion going. I agree they a good little company cause they make alot of jobs happen.

Posted by Sord [send private reply] at April 17, 2002, 07:35:52 PM

heh, theyre making an XP-SE, that looks and sounds really weird for some reason. and i agree, if you dont like it, dont use it and dont talk about it. i dont like it, but i use it for certain products and dont complain, but thats just me

XP with one of the stupidest anti-copying methode ever (key codes and serial codes still stand on Nr 1). You have to register online and if you change too much components in your system, it wouldn't work anymore. And this is probably already cracked. I think MS and many other software developers truly hate their costumers and try to get everybody use cracked versions.
Those who think this anti-copying thing isn't a real problem, are wrong. My original PC was a 486, Over time I upgraded everything. So XP wouldn't work anymore if I had it installed on my original computer (The only original things I still use, are my keyboard and the power cable). I'm sure I'm not the only one who does this. And what about those who don't have Internet? This species (Homo Sapiens Notconnectus) still exists (although endangered).

Just get the corporate edition, you don't have to register :) (evil grin)

Posted by RedX [send private reply] at April 18, 2002, 03:58:27 PM

Corporate edition? So instead of the Overpriced-edition you get the Insanely-overpriced-edition. I rather download a free [order form from microsoft].
As long as Billy has more money than I do, I'm not going to give him more than absolutly, unmistakenly and utterly necessary.

Posted by RedX [send private reply] at April 25, 2002, 12:00:19 PM

[some generic admin whose name starts with a g] has striked again.

CodeRed: You shouldn't tell other people to use Marihuana. They don't have to know how good it tastes and the fun it can be... I mean it's bad for you. Don't do it. Say no to drugs. And it's illigal in the US (but it isn't here, heheheheh)

Actually, he said "Go smoke joint", which, if taken in the most grammatical sense of the sentence, means "Go and burn somebody's knee joint".

I really hope he mend (mend, ment or whatever happens to be the past tense of to mean is. And why don't they put those in a dictionary. Do they really expect me to memorize them all?) weed. If not I'm happy there is a big ocean and 2 countries between me and him.

(Why didn't they used hungarian notation for verbs. like p_ for present and pa_ for past. "He p_walk home" and "he pa_walk home" Wouldn't that be much easier to write?)

From Microsoft to Marijuana..... what next?????

Posted by CodeRed [send private reply] at April 26, 2002, 09:50:56 AM

All I was saying was that Gian should lighten up

Posted by RedX [send private reply] at April 26, 2002, 11:58:13 AM

Actually we stayed in the same context this time. Marihuana and M$ are both unhealthy.

Posted by CodeRed [send private reply] at April 26, 2002, 09:47:59 PM

Posted by CodeRed [send private reply] at April 26, 2002, 11:18:00 PM

You're on the wrong hemisphere aren't you?

Posted by gian [send private reply] at April 27, 2002, 01:53:35 AM

Yes, New Zealand is completely backward. We all walk on our heads, clap with our feet, and talk with our.... well, you get the point :-)

Posted by RedX [send private reply] at April 27, 2002, 08:13:54 AM

Why would there be anything like a "wrong" hemisphere? As if it matters in which direction your toilet water turns when it runs away.

Also, what gives you the idea that you are the right way up? Surely, when trying to get one's relative position to the edge of the galaxy, then the orientation could be any direction...

Posted by CodeRed [send private reply] at April 29, 2002, 06:44:03 PM

I wasn't being literal, OBVIOUSLY

Posted by vikram_1982 [send private reply] at April 30, 2002, 01:52:39 AM
