I'm attempting to write a function that fills in a table with various infomation about picture files that reside on the hard disk. What I'd like to know is if there is a way to set the OLE object that should be the picture file in my visual basic function. I have the path of the file, and I thought GetObject might work, but it seems to do something different than I thought. Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated.

a more powerful way of doing that would be to use VB6 (or .net) and then once you have the info, connect to an access DB and place the info in a table. just a sugestion. how do you retrive picture info of the HD? no idea
