2500 users... 1100 posts

Posted by gian [send private reply] at July 09, 2002, 08:08:50 PM

Wow... we just hit 2500 users! Woo. (For those of you not paying attention for my previous 1093 posts, this probably doesn't have a point).
I believe this is the biggest TPU has ever been.

I don't think so, not in terms of active users anyways. When I first started coming here it was a lot more active

Posted by gian [send private reply] at July 09, 2002, 10:38:02 PM

When was that? The only time I remember it being more active than this would have been prior to 2000 I think...
I'm sure Psion will come and rule decisively on the subject!

hehe.. I rank like 56th highest poster, but last time I was active (apart from the last few days) was like 1999/2000 ^^

Wow! I'm in the top 100 posters for the current month! It's my 3rd post!

My new goal in life is to get more posts than gian. I haven't been here terribly long and I've already gotten a lot of posts...(I dunno, I found this in my bookmarks; apparantly I visited here and may have had an account in 1998 or 1999, but my memories of then are fuzzy)

Mmmm, well many of my posts were before we dumped the heirachical threading and just went for this sort of system (which works so much better!). I believe that the posts from then are still counted.
When did we move to Devlocus? Summer 2000, wasn't it?

You can actually see that Codered and Unknown_lamer have overtaken me in the last 2 months...
CodeRed 195
unknown_lamer 190
gian 165

Heh. If I keep at it I'll beat you in a few years!

I can think of a way to become Nr 1 but I suppose putting every letter of a post in a separate message is *the* way to become unpopular.

People like me would come along and delete individual posts in order to make you look silly.

It would also be quite difficult to do, as you can only use <those sentences that read the same is you read them backwards> because of the ability to set newest post on top/at the end of the page.

2500 and only about >240 that regularly come on ... why dont you delete people like WANK or have a policy to delete stupid accounts... like if they have posted below 5 and have not posted in the last 4 months ...

Why? We're not exactly short of system resources. If they want to come back, let them, otherwise, let them!

Vacations over, Time to start kicking gians ass in post count again :D

Lucky for you, the server was down most of the time you were away!

Posted by unknown_lamer [send private reply] at July 13, 2002, 11:43:45 AM

I better start posting more or I'll lose the #1 position for the last two months! (stupid server outage slowed me down!)

Posted by CodeRed [send private reply] at July 13, 2002, 01:03:16 PM

I'm only 3rd this month (and according to gian I am first for the past 2, lamer)

Well, not any more. But from 3-9 I kill everyone
