Posted by Glitch [send private reply] at July 19, 2002, 03:53:29 AM

Im starting a web site that is for all teen interested in computers. from gaming to security. Anyone With Web Skills who would like to help email me @ n3thack@hotmail.com or reply to this message. dont forget to specify what area in computers your good at etc. C++, PHP, Setting up a web/irc/telnet server.

I intend to have teens running this site, if your not a teen your help will still be appreciated. Even if your talent is chatting on IRC you could be a chat admin. If your good at halflife etc you could write walkthroughs. Im open to ideas. Its A great Chance To learn

Is this not identical to your last post, 6 minutes before?
You should be careful. It could be considered spamming...

I have corrected that error! Glitch, more power to you, but watch out! That is a very overdone idea, and you'll have some competition!

(And if you try to compete with TPU, we'll send trained armadillos to ransack your pantry.)

look on the bright side: at least they're not sending badgers... or termites...

You actually think YOU can create something better than the hard work of those TPU @dmins ? The people who built this site have done a good job and I must say >> thanks << to them. Why create something new when you can add to something existing that is already very good.

sometimes things need to be redone and designed better from th start. look at linux. As good as it is, i do not think it will ever gain mainstream DESKTOP acceptance. a desktop os needs to be designed from scratch with that in mind. dont get me wrong, linux kiss major ass on the server market though.

But this is TPU - it is the best ... and it is getting better. It would take years to make somthing like this and run it. I dont think Glitch will suceed.

true, but im just trying to put things into perspective.

I forsee a swarm of DevLocusts(TM) ransacking Glitch's pantry.

meta's got a good point (at least pertaining to linux), but there is something inherintly absurd about Glitch's suggestion. Does any of us have the time (outside of summer) to be part of two teen programming web communities?

I think @gian has a good point if I were you Glitch I'd look out... help make this community better. I dont think it would be reasonable and logical to create a mimic ( thus splitting up the tree into 2 ... ) there was another one called what was it bevcom.f2s.com ??? which failed with shame. hahahahh

-LOOK NO SIGNATURE

I wasnt trying to compete with TPU I was Trying To set up a project with TPU

Posted by vladimir_l [send private reply] at July 21, 2002, 07:36:31 AM

Well your ideals for this project seemed similar :

IRC ( avalible @ TPU ) , Game Cheats ( not avalible @ TPU ) , Telnet ( not avalible @ TPU ) , Web ( availible @ TPU ).

Well the only things TPU does not cover ( in detail ) but what you propose to cover are Gaming and Telnet acess.

nICE Vlad..... No signature and u didnt even leave that annoying ass "-LOOK NO SIGNATURE".... i think that there is time for a change... dont cha think?!

Posted by vladimir_l [send private reply] at July 21, 2002, 11:31:30 AM

RedX does it ... anyway it would be good Glitch if you all provided us with free ssh2/telnet acess to a unix server ( or win2k if you want us to brake it ).

Hey, nobody ever complained about my signature habbits. Besides it makes my posts look bigger.

See, it's 2 lines shorter than usual, you see. At least it would be without me explaining that is would be 2 lines shorter if I droped my signature, you see, but because I'm explaining that it would be 2 lines shorter, it becomes 7 lines longer than usual, you see. At least it's 7 lines longer here (in the edit-box) as it will be less lines longer after it is posted, you see.
(This is probably my most annoying text ever)

So , I could say that.

-Vlad

makes my posts look bigger , but the fact is we all know its RedX even if you sign it RedX or not.
