I little while ago on slashdot there was a thread about good programming books 'for the smart'. I was wondering what books some of you have found to be just really great.
One that really hit me as good was 'A programmer's introduction to PHP 4.0'. It had a good type of reference book style. I also keep the Apache Desktop Reference on my desktop (although theres little use, being unable to remotely access my server :( ) and I just got a copy of Learn Java in a weekend which also seems to have a referency touch. (I like reference books).
