Posted by regretfuldaydreamer [send private reply] at August 31, 2002, 07:27:28 PM

CodeRed Is The Winner, though it's suprising, I haven't noticed him as a particurally ig poster.

I on the other hand am only sixth :(

As far as I can see, Nyiah is the highest girl

I'm going to bed (early 1.30am for once instead of 5am) now which is why I'm not writing hundreds more comments.

Hopefully this thread will provide many amusing and boastful comments over the nex week.

Try to keep your anger to a minimum about this wastage of bandwidth

Maybe this'll become a monthly thing, perhaps someone would like to put that in the suggestions board

Posted by FatalDragon [send private reply] at August 31, 2002, 07:35:26 PM

YA! I'm nu. 9, and only been here for like 3 months!

Posted by regretfuldaydreamer [send private reply] at August 31, 2002, 07:53:27 PM

I've only been here for 7 weeks

Posted by mop [send private reply] at August 31, 2002, 08:32:34 PM

I'm number 2?!
I feel guilty now.

I've never been a whore at anything until now.

Posted by Nyiah [send private reply] at August 31, 2002, 09:29:25 PM

haha, I'm the highest girl... impressive

somehow I'm not surprised, I was the only girl who went for two rounds of CompSci at my school, and I was the only girl who could beat any guy at Quake... is that scary??

Posted by unknown_lamer [send private reply] at August 31, 2002, 09:42:13 PM

I challenge you to a game of Quake and/or bzflag.

Posted by mop [send private reply] at August 31, 2002, 10:21:30 PM

AND you the only girl here
(who has posted more then once)

Posted by gian [send private reply] at August 31, 2002, 10:58:13 PM

http://www.tpu.org/tea/Stats2 has numbers!

Any wondering how I managed to clock up 1200 posts, and still only be 4th on the monthly rank, is because I stopped forum whoring some time ago, but the stats are still catching up with me :-)

Posted by CodeRed [send private reply] at September 01, 2002, 12:43:47 AM

regretfullblahblahblah: I have been gone for 10 days, got back yesterday, that is why you haven't noticed me. Plus, I don't post whore, all my posts have content

Posted by buzgub [send private reply] at September 01, 2002, 02:39:11 AM

CodeRed, you *are* a post-count whore. You spread one message over two posts. I ask that everyone on this board cease this despicable practise.

Posted by CodeRed [send private reply] at September 01, 2002, 02:51:00 AM

I think of new stuff to say, I can't help it that my brain thinks in stages

Posted by CViper [send private reply] at September 01, 2002, 03:52:32 AM

hmm... i don't think there is any other forum i even bothered to post as much as 29 posts.

Posted by regretfuldaydreamer [send private reply] at September 01, 2002, 08:52:34 AM

CodeRed: "I think of new stuff to say, I can't help it that my brain thinks in stages "

Of course you can't help that your brain counts in stages : But there is an edit button that means you can append to your previous message.

Posted by regretfuldaydreamer [send private reply] at September 01, 2002, 09:43:15 AM

I think my target is to become the 15th biggest poster of all time by the end of this month.

Posted by FatalDragon [send private reply] at September 01, 2002, 01:04:49 PM

"AND you the only girl here
(who has posted more then once)", I don't think that's true, what about infryq?

Posted by regretfuldaydreamer [send private reply] at September 01, 2002, 02:16:42 PM

Infryq is hardly one of our most active users; nyiah meant she was the only girl who visited this site with any sort of regularity.

Posted by CodeRed [send private reply] at September 01, 2002, 02:20:13 PM

My goal is to pass gian by the end of the year, and if you would add CHollman82's post count to mine that just might be possible (see, I edited this instead of making a new post)

Posted by CHollman82 [send private reply] at September 01, 2002, 02:37:18 PM

Yes, please add my post count to CodeRed's please, thank you

Posted by FatalDragon [send private reply] at September 01, 2002, 03:08:10 PM

"Infryq is hardly one of our most active users; nyiah meant she was the only girl who visited this site with any sort of regularity."
True.

Posted by regretfuldaydreamer [send private reply] at September 01, 2002, 03:24:19 PM

I read Infryq's profile though, she said she would be back at the end of August, Well it's September 1st and I see no sign of her.

Posted by FatalDragon [send private reply] at September 01, 2002, 03:39:54 PM

Yeah, but I was just saying that she is a girl, and she has posted more than once.

Posted by regretfuldaydreamer [send private reply] at September 01, 2002, 03:42:01 PM

Uh huh, I suppose

I've a question for discussion: Even though I rarely post proper threads about programming(The only one I've postedd recently is about my TPU OS), why are my threads so popular, and why am I not slated for wasting bandwidth?

Posted by CodeRed [send private reply] at September 01, 2002, 05:36:32 PM

Because you are so charming nobody can resist talking to you

Posted by FatalDragon [send private reply] at September 01, 2002, 10:05:27 PM

You post interesting topics maybe? I don't know?

Posted by gian [send private reply] at September 02, 2002, 04:28:18 AM

Because the amount of bandwidth you use in comparison to the amount CodeRed has wasted in his time here is nothing, so after we finish slating him, we will start on you.

Posted by regretfuldaydreamer [send private reply] at September 02, 2002, 08:21:31 AM

I'd better prepare my defense arsenel then!

Posted by regretfuldaydreamer [send private reply] at September 02, 2002, 08:29:14 AM

Hey I just noticed I'm now beating Gian - :)

Oh, and what are we gonna have as a prize for the monthly posting awards? (joke for all of you out there without a sense of humour)

Posted by Psion [send private reply] at September 02, 2002, 11:40:06 AM

Maybe the prize can be that that feature of the website is restricted to admins, so people don't think more = better!

Posted by AnyoneEB [send private reply] at September 02, 2002, 11:51:17 AM

Psion: you mean the feature of everyone else giving you bad suggestions on how to run the site? ;)

Posted by regretfuldaydreamer [send private reply] at September 02, 2002, 06:34:31 PM

Breaking News: CodeRed Has Been Knocked Off The Top Spot.

To Gians Delight, Mop is now the biggest poster

(I should probably stop being so immature)

Posted by mop [send private reply] at September 02, 2002, 06:36:14 PM

Ugh. Now I really feel like a whore. This thread should be set on fire.

Posted by gian [send private reply] at September 03, 2002, 02:40:55 AM

RDD, you really place far too much value on the monthly post rankings.
You should base your conclusions on the all-time stats!

Posted by CodeRed [send private reply] at September 03, 2002, 10:21:47 AM

Thank god you guys got rid of that

Posted by mop [send private reply] at September 03, 2002, 12:06:53 PM

Good ridance

Posted by CViper [send private reply] at September 04, 2002, 10:06:18 AM

/me agrees with CodeRed

Posted by AngelOD [send private reply] at September 04, 2002, 11:31:04 AM

Yup, I totally agree too.. The stats only served one purpose, and that was to make it possible for others to accuse you of being a forum whore. :o)

Posted by regretfuldaydreamer [send private reply] at September 04, 2002, 11:36:04 AM

I'm still gonna request that the admins have monthly posting awards.

Posted by AngelOD [send private reply] at September 04, 2002, 12:00:47 PM

And I will request that they don't.. There's truly no need to turn this into a "who can post the most useless crap in a month" contest.

Posted by regretfuldaydreamer [send private reply] at September 04, 2002, 12:05:16 PM

Yeah, I suppose.

Posted by RedX [send private reply] at September 04, 2002, 12:22:29 PM

If you really want awards, why not let people vote for the most usefull post of the month/week/year/day? Then those who get an award are rewarded for quality not for quantity.

Posted by regretfuldaydreamer [send private reply] at September 04, 2002, 01:08:08 PM

I more thought that this thread had an amusing side to it.
Oh and I don't really give a damn about the stats now, since they added the 20+ thing to the profiles, thats the only real useage to the stats. (I hereby declare that I'm not gonna go on about member stats from now onwards - apart from one post wonders)

But that sounds like an interesting idea.

Posted by mop [send private reply] at September 04, 2002, 05:53:00 PM

Whats wrong with one posters?
Where here to help people..

Posted by regretfuldaydreamer [send private reply] at September 05, 2002, 10:57:02 AM

They're here to help us. They should at least say Thank You.

You know the old adage "Its the giving that counts, not just the taking"

Posted by mop [send private reply] at September 05, 2002, 05:48:08 PM

Well, yeah, and we're giving.

Posted by regretfuldaydreamer [send private reply] at September 06, 2002, 11:56:22 AM

And there's no problem with that, it'd just be nice to know that they're receiving, even if they say "OK"

Posted by mop [send private reply] at September 06, 2002, 06:45:00 PM

so your all mad at them, and want the posting stats, just you can know whether or not somebody has said thank you?

Posted by regretfuldaydreamer [send private reply] at September 06, 2002, 07:28:50 PM

"(I hereby declare that I'm not gonna go on about member stats from now onwards - apart from one post wonders)"

You're the only one going on about them at this stage! - Theres enough stats in the profiles to do me fine.
