How do you go about hacking a website??

Posted by unknown_lamer [send private reply] at September 02, 2002, 03:09:57 PM

Attain hacker status and then write the backend code to generate it quickly?

Read some previous posts before you ask that, that way you know how we're going to answer you.

By learning all there is to learn about websites. and have lots of practice with it.

Why are you telling him how to crack when he asked how to hack?

Posted by Psion [send private reply] at September 02, 2002, 03:30:55 PM

I'm glad a message telling people not to ask this sort of thing will be shown to each new member once the changes from the test site are propagated here. ;-)

huh?

Sorry man, we're [for the most part] aren't into black hat stuff. We're mainly Old School Hackers, Programmers, and a few Gray Hat Hackers.
But hacking a website could be good, a guy did hack one of Alqueda's websites (It migth not have been alqueda, but it was a similer organization).

Posted by mop [send private reply] at September 02, 2002, 04:34:55 PM

Interesting how you can "hack" the website of an organization that tries to rid its people of computers..

Posted by BluMagik [send private reply] at September 02, 2002, 05:10:26 PM

I didn't mean THAT kind of hacking..I mean, the non important stuff, like for instance, someone hacked into my site a couple weeks ago, and I want to know how he did it. It's not a company or anything, just this person's personal site.

P.S. I'm a GIRL!!

oooooh.
huh, is that the first girl to post more than once?

Posted by Psion [send private reply] at September 02, 2002, 05:25:04 PM

BluMagik, we don't support any kind of cracking here, "unimportant" or not, so you should take that question elsewhere.

Posted by regretfuldaydreamer [send private reply] at September 02, 2002, 05:28:19 PM

Nope, thid I think (Unless theres someone I don't know about other than Nyiah and Infrq.

How good at programming are you BluMagik, do you stick to HTML/JavaScript, or do you know more?

If you wanna learn more, all here will be glad to help, the female community is seriously underrepresented in teenagee programmers.

Posted by mop [send private reply] at September 02, 2002, 06:12:41 PM

Well, she asked how to 'hack a website' and her post in the programming forum was called 'HTML', so daydreamer, I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I'm just being mean because people should read around before they post.

Posted by regretfuldaydreamer [send private reply] at September 02, 2002, 06:22:04 PM

Well, she's asked now what programming language to get started on in the programming forum

Posted by mop [send private reply] at September 02, 2002, 06:25:35 PM

yeah okay, but at first..

Okay, sorry about that... So you are more wanting to know how to "hack proof" a website, rather than hack one?
