What colleges are good computer science schools around the tri- state area??

If your "tri-state area" includes Pennsylvania, then I'm assuming you've already considered Carnegie Mellon, as the last ratings of graduate programs from those people who rate them had it tied for best CS program in the USA, and no one really bothers to rate individual CS undergraduate programs.

Berkley and MIT are reputable CS universities, Helsinki also has a profound university known for the works of it's CS students.
