Scripts.... Anyone play HL?
Posted by crazeemouse [send private reply] at September 25, 2002, 12:49:22 PM
I play horseland and training is driving me mad - its so boring, I've been trying to come up with a quicker way of entering horses in classes using scripts or javascripts.... I'm not having much luck - I've heard of using and "interfacer" to do multiple things like enter horses in all unrun shows.... what is an "interfacer" and how do I make one? Help!

Didn't someone post tthis question a few days ago?
An interface is short for GUI - Graphical User Interface" - and is Windows, buttons, etc. as opposed to a command line interface like DOS ... someone else can explain this better than me. I'm in a hurry.

crazeemouse: RDD probably got it wrong. But sadly, I've got no clue on how what you are talking about. What is 'horseland'? Is it a game? What do you mean by 'entering horses in a class'? and what the **** does JavaScript have to do with that?

Uh, RDD, CodeRed was joking when he said Half-Life, She means Horse Land. In a previous post she explained its a game where you have some horses and raise them and put them in classes. It runs in the browser as far as I know, with javascript.
Her problem is that the interface is too bulky or inconvenient and she wants a better way to lay it out (once again, as far as I know). I think if we saw what it looked like first...

crazeemouse, If the interface is clunky there's not really anything you can do about it unless you run the site - You could write a nicer interface that used their site as it's backend, but that would be an awful lot of work and would need constant maintenance.

Just like to point out that she probably posted again because the thread was locked ^^
I've never heard of an interfacer in javascript unless its some kind of class. I think n00bs have enough trouble reading techno speak without you guys going all h4X0R 5|>33|{ on them.

Run a quick few searched through google.
All I found for interfacer was the french word for interface. As for horseland, http://www.horseland.com/scripts/game.asp I think she is wanting to get her hands on a cheat for the game ^^
