Read Slackware Unleashed 3rd edition [ http://docs.rinet.ru:8083/Slackware-Linux/ ]. If you read through the enitre thing [assuming you make a valid attempt to understand it], and Adcanced Bash Scripting [ http://www.tldp.org/LDP/abs/html/index.html ], you should be pretty knowledgeable of Linux.
