CMU's got a great CS program -- at least MIT thinks so. Not to mention it houses the SEI (software engineering institute) which basically dictates (and studies) what software development parctices lead to more reliable products. Great stuff. And Pittsburgh Rocks!!

CHollman82: Were you not the one who was criticising someone for posting "non-programming related" messages? Ummm... hello? At least those were about computers!

I am in the CMU CS program, and most of the people in it don't live up to my expectations of either "intelligence" or work habits. Lotsa whiners about tough courses :-)

hmmm...annoying, but could be a good thing. means you could actually (hopefully) get something out of them if you tried. eh psion? what made ya choose CMU?

Posted by Psion [send private reply] at July 24, 2001, 06:06:37 AM

I chose it because those silly rankings lists placed it highest for CS among the places to which I was accepted!

I thought CMU ranked 3rd?

Don't you see gian, it already is a computer related thread. The main topic of it now is carnegie mellon's computer science program, dumbass.

CHollman82: Oh! Okay... but what do you need to think about that for...? Hopefully, after you repeat 1st grade another 3 times, you'll get to 2nd grade!

Chollman,

Not by design. Your initial post was completely useless and "non-programming related". The fact that by random chance the thread evolved into something related does not mitigate the uselessness of your original post in any way. You are wrong. Wrong, wrong wrong. But we are used to that by now :-)
