Runescape hack

Posted by rsplayer [send private reply] at March 30, 2003, 04:50:58 AM

Runescape is a massive online RPG, and I am looking for someone or multipule people to either E-mail me their old runescape hacks or create new ones, either way if it comes down to it I will pay $20 and I will also pay shipping for the programs to be sent to me on a CD-R.

the site for the game is: http://www.runescape.com/

My E-mail is justin31301@yahoo.com

How about this, instead of looking for ways to artificially win the game, which completely invalidates the victory, you actually play the game and be entertained by it the way it was meant to be played. K? thks.

P.S.
STOP FUCKING CHEATING AND RUINING EVERY ONLINE GAME FOR EVERYONE ON THE PLANET YOU GODDAMN LAMERS. Just look at what you people did to counterstrike, you can't find a server without some asshole bunny hopping or shooting through walls.

CodeRed, try the Alpha Avengers CS servers. When the admins are online, they are very closely monitored and cheaters are banned without delay.

Alas, I have gone cold turkey on Counter Strike. I uninstalled it from my PC and refuse to play it on my friends' computers. It's a tough addiction to break, although not half as tough as quitting EverQuest.

Wouldn't it be more fulfilling and fun to actually do it yourself. That way, you will be a programmer and not just some lame gamer.

I agree. I remember when the gameshark was like once $80 at Toy's R Us for the PlayStation. People will actually buy a game, and instead of an attempt to beat it like it was meant to be, they cheat?

That completely defeats the whole purpose of playing the game.

"although not half as tough as quitting EverQuest"

I can second that :/ If you care about your (social) life, never ever play EQ (or similar stuff).

hey codered just so you know, there isnt a way to win in the game. you can not win, you just become stronger then everyone else. Oh yeah, counterstrike sucked anyways.

It doesn't matter, cheating defeats the point of even playing the game.

I am completely against cheats (especially those not built into the game), but...

"It doesn't matter, cheating defeats the point of even playing the game. "

I believe the point of playing a game is to have fun. If cheating means you have fun, it is still the point of the game.

The error lies in bending/breaking the rules of the game. OR ruining the fun of the game for other players.

Well, if you are stronger than everyone else in the game because you cheated, and that is fun for you, you are pretty fucked up, and on top of that an asshole.

Singleplayer - cheating Ok, it affects only you. And IMHO, there's nothing more irritating than getting stuck somewhere.

Multiplayer - usually kinda hard to get stuck somewhere, so that point dosen't apply anyway.

Umm, I don't play online multi player games much [hardly at all], but so I can see where it would make me pretty pissy if someone was cheating.
But, like CViper said, single player games cheats are _usualy_ good. I think Golden Eye was an excellent example of a good way to put cheats into a game, ie for the first couple years you had to unlock the cheats yourself-- this made the games reply value _much_ higher. But then after a while, codes to unlock the codes were released-- this again increased the replay value b/c if you're like me you totaly sucked and couldn't get the best cheat modes.

"you may now stop answering to this page"

In case you didn't notice, we are having a discussion on cheating in video games, no one payed attention to your original post anyway.

So, did rsplayer just come here to get a cheat, and leave?

or did he actually come here to be a member?
