yeah, well, theres alwasys one who cant hold it in....
i havent been around for the last two weeks because i have benn in a supersweet country we like to call "that place where a lot of german people live", and have had a great time so far. anyway, here is a quick synopsis: 1. slept in frankfurt for one night, in a youthhostel, and had a great time checking out the sights, sounds, smells and so on.. of the showers. 2. moved on to dresden to live with a host family for the best part of a week. anyway, i had a huge amount of fun just with the family, as they had two daughters my age. had a great time looking around the place with about twenty castles, unlimited museums, and a, of course, the skool the family sends their kids to. we had a lot of fun putting of steve irwin accents and saying "crikey", which put the germans off somewhat.... 3. just sat on a train for two hours and finally arrived in berlin, and am sitting in another youthhostel (Jungendherberge for interest), with some canadians/yanks (who can tell the difference?) reading over my shoulder and so on. ah well, here we go, time to sleep for a bit

"ihr" is the polite "sie" form too

CViper, what do you mean "polite sie form"? Sie is the polite form of du. I think if you want to be unambiguous you have to talk about second-person plurals or second-person feminine singulars or whatever.
Fun fun fun!

I meant to capitalize the I in Ihr, therefore making it the possive of Sie.

Whatever... didn't remeber the correct terms, and frankly, german grammar must be one of the most boring subjects around anyway (latin beats it big time, though).
I've grown up speaking (swiss-)german, and we've probably covered all that stuff at school a few times, yet, since I never think about that stuff, I forget it each time. Actually, most people who learn german at school know more grammar than me (which often leads to funny situations)....
