Did everyone go back to school or something?

I'm not going for another 2.5 weeks. But I've spend last weekend way to much time online (considering a 56K modem with the overpriced phonebills and downloading about 128Mb means I'm living in fear for the next phonebill).

i think someones gotta explain this southern vs nothern hemisphere school year thing, i would, but, i only do useless posts :p

Okay...
In the southern hemisphere, summer is from about september till mid march. Thus, it is logical for us to have our summer break from about november till feb (it varies from place to place). This means we attend school for the more logical term of the start of the year, till near the end of the year :-)

No, you're just nutty.
Walking on your hands makes you crazy.

Lordaerom: yes, but we have to, otherwise we would fall off the planet... daaaa?

Does water really flows the other way around on your side of the planet?
Or are the Simsons not based on real stories?

apparently it actually does. I've never actually checked, though, so I'm just going on the word of some science show or something.

I've heard it doesn't work in practice, though, because generally a water spout doesn't point directly, precicely, and exactly down.

it doesn't matter -- the reason why it often doesn't work in practice is because when you put water into a tub or something you can inadvertently do so the water swirls the wrong way. if you let it sit for a day though, the coriolis effect takes over and it doesn't matter how your drain system points -- the water will still swirl in a consistent direction.

I went to Japan for 3 weeks and got back today. I get to go to school in two days. The best part is I get to take CAD.

I've had CAD. At first it was intresting, but after a while the class network became more intresting. After that I only had Patience to get trought the houres.

CAD is cool... Take it one step further to analyzing buildings and bridges that you can model in CAD and you get my summer job! I spent a whole day working on importing DXF models (that's AutoCAD's file format, among other programs) into our software. Sheesh...

I got screwed -- I'm in woods now and I don't think I'm gonna be able to get out... oh well I'll make a bass. If CAD isn't that hard then maybe I could pick it up on my spare time???

You know what...? My toilet doesn't sworl around.... I don't want feceal matter being hurled around in a small porcelein bowl at great speeds. Mine just drains in an orderly fashion.
