Linux Drivers

Posted by Cobbs [send private reply] at August 25, 2001, 03:50:11 PM

My network card (D-Link DHN-520 10Mb Home Phoneline NIC) is only supported in Windows. It's my only way to get internet access on my computer.

What would be the best thing to do? (Beg D-Link (already tried), make my own driver (how difficult? will I need info from D-Link?), run windows in an emulator and use internet through that...)

Are you sure there are no generic drivers? Try and see if you can get a generic classification for it, then search the web for some linux drivers. If that fails, well.... you may have to do some windows fun!
