TPUCon Season?

Posted by gian [send private reply] at October 03, 2001, 08:14:38 PM

Well, I've been thinking about TPU cons, and I think that with over 1200 members (not all of them active, mind you) that we could actually concurrently hold several TPUcons, in appropriate geographical locations.... comments?

I guess, conferences?
Or conspiracies?
Or simply a con (bilk, cheat, commit fraud, defraud, fiddle, rip off or swindle. Thesaurus' are great, makes you look like you actually know the language.)

Con is for conference...They have happened in the past, but usually in Canada, because that's where the highest concentration of active TPUers was, but now, there seems to be a fairly even spread, right across the world.

Can't we do it somewhere warm? Canada has an even worse climate than Belgium.
Preferably some warm country without war, terrorists, disasters, French speaking people or nuclear tests.

On the original topic, I think it's a good idea. I definitely can't afford to go outside australia.

Canada's climate isn't thaaat bad, just Vancouver's... But yes I agree with the original topic. Anyone live in British Columbia too?

We simply need a sponsor.

We also need to know the amount of conferences we are doing, the amount of people going and where they will be held...
