The price of 3D Studio Max is just insane (I am talking of student version) I mean how are people surpose to design there own 3D stuff using 3D-Curvas, LOL

I'd like to see a teen with a legal copy of 3dsmax, lol.
Try Milkshape, gMax, and blender www.blender.nl Blender is out there for pretty much every platform. The only problem is its interface is not click and point windows style. Its more of the rapid keyboard shortcuts mixed with a mouse that other OS's are (Linux...) gmax is the same as 3dsmax except its freeware and is aimed at the mod community. And Milkshape everyone probably heard of. Its tailored for low-poly game modeleing for games like half-life and quake.
