I have to make a multimedia project for an international competition. I was suggested to use Meditator Pro 6. Unfortunately I can't find it here in Romania. Is there a similar software on the market or do you know any other program that can help me? (I need interactive buttons, video and sound support and things like that).

I managed to get a demo of the software. You can add a lot of events to buttons (on click, mouse move...), pictures, etc. It object oriented (like Delphi), but you don't have to know any programming language. You can learn by yourself.

So basically.... it's not related at all to programming and has nothing to do with this website. :)

it sounds flash- or hypercard-like, which means it's probably scriptable. perhaps you mean you don't need any previous programming knowlege?
anyhow, yes.
try flash, there are demos out there, don't know if they're any good. if that doesn't work and you're *really* hard up for something, find a macintosh, look around on old software archive sites, and get yourself hypercard or hyperstudio. text, bitmaps, sounds, effects, animation... just not terribly impressive, and no video.
I'd go with flash if you can manage it. you might be able to check with your school to acquire flash or meditator, macromedia or whoever makes meditator might give you an education discount. depends on how quickly you need it.
