A long long time ago in #tpu listed a site for a really nice looking 3D engine in development and I can't find it any more. It claimed to have bump mapping and shadows and ray tracing quality graphics. Anyone remember this?

This is a list with 3D-engines. It looks like the site hasn't been updated anymore, but (hopefully) some of the links still work. (It's a big list)
