retrieving ethernet lan card id

can anyone tell how to retrieve the ethernet lan card id no. progrmatically in vc++ or c++

By "ethernet lan card id" you might mean MAC address, or you might mean IP address, or you might mean something completely different. Please provide a meaningful question.

Isn't the MAC address printed on the PCB or on one of the chips?

I think he wants to be able to retrieve any MAC address in software.

I think that means "I don't know"/"I can't be bothered looking it up".

Jason: Look on google, search for something to do with MAC addresses.
