SemperCogito.info

Posted by taubz [send private reply] at May 19, 2002, 10:50:43 PM

I've recently bought a domain name which I think is pretty cool. It took me about a year to come up with the name to register. But, now I don't know what to do with the domain but set up another email alias for myself. The domain is sempercogito.info which I think (ie. hope) translates to "always thinking" or "I always think" dot info.

I'm trying to come up with ideas for a site to put there, and you guys are the only people who I can think of who might be able to help me come up with something.

I have a gut feeling for what it should be about: philosophy, thought, free thought (free speech, open source stuff), cognitive psychology. But I don't know where that leads me.

Perhaps a slashdot for these topics? But that would be tough to start up. A portal to other information is too dull.

Any ideas? Anyone think they would be interested in visiting a site about this?

A site about the latest inventions in the field of computers should be apt. It can be about scientists *always thinking* to come up with new technology.

Go for it... it would be kinda cool to see something that wasn't just another computer site, but actually more about the social implications of using them...

should it not be "semper cognito"??? Cognito is Latin "to think" ...

Cognito doesn't exist in my Latin dictionary.

I always wondered why people bother to learn Latin. Like if the Romans will ever be back (there place is already taken by the US). Everyone who visited a doctor know what latin does to you: terribel handwritting. You know that will be your fate if you learn one Latin word too much.
(Yet another theory about the disapearing of the Roman empire :-) )

"terribel handwritting"

How about spelling? LOL

Spelling errors are left as an exercise for the reader.
