How to remove utilities or unwanted packages in red hat linux 7.0 so that i can free disk space?i am using 93% resource.so,the system hangs sometime(most of the time to be precise in the x window). What to do?

This is probably better on the general board but...

When you say resources, do you mean processor time? For disk space you need to use rpm to remove programs (might be difficult because of rpm's not-very-nice dependency tracking). If X and whatnot is crashing you might have bad ram. If X hangs when doing OpenGL stuff, try recompiling your kernel with Magic SysRQ support so you can Alt-SysRq-K to kill X. If you are using 93% processor power see what is using all the power and try disabling it at startup (I know on debian you would update-rc.d remove init.d-script-name)

In this and other cases where things seem confusing, you can assume an admin has moved the message since the issue was raised.
