VC++ 6 is a complicated piece of software, more than likely you are making the mistake.

Well , valid point Codered , ut about two years ago I installed VC++ 5.0 from a lets say pirate CD ( it installed ) but did not work and found errors in the simplest of C++ code. I dunno , just dont use VC++.

Dev C++ is my fav, specialy now since the latest beta of version 5 actually compiles stuff again instead of moaning that theres something wrong with the makefile.

Anyways, its always giving errors about missing dll files. After fixing that, im now getting errors in pieces of code i'd already run earlier on.

im thinking of learning Assembly language. anybody know where i can get a good book online(free)
