I was just wondering how many people here are Slashdot reader regulars. This is merly for scientific purposes, thank you.

I am a /. regular. I receive the daily headlines in my inbox and browse through all the interesting stories.

Anyone here read New Scientist(Im not sure if its at all related) Please note its physical, its weekly and its a magasine?

I read /. quite a bit. My karma is excellent (before it became that it was about 34 and I've gotten about 10 more points since then so I'm near the cap). I even get moderator points about every other week or so.

Whats Slashdot?

Posted by unknown_lamer [send private reply] at September 02, 2002, 07:00:10 PM

http://slashdot.org

Posted by mop [send private reply] at September 02, 2002, 07:06:23 PM

I have posted an overall toatal of, I think, twice.

Posted by unknown_lamer [send private reply] at September 02, 2002, 07:12:55 PM

I've posted 100 comments exactly (my user info page says so). I signed up for an account right after it became somewhat popular (I saw it in a magazine, signed up) so I have a low UID (not really, it is really high but probably 1/5th as high as new users). I have user #25 on linux.com/newsforge.com though!

Slashdot? Yeah, it's a pretty cool site.

I go once and a while, but I often find that if you've read one week of slashdot, you've read them all. Only occasionally do I find something particularly interesting that I haven't heard of elsewhere.

Read something there now and then.

Posted by AngelOD [send private reply] at September 03, 2002, 08:30:05 AM

I tried it out a couple of times, but it's not really useful.. Way too many unimportant news imo.

Posted by mop [send private reply] at September 03, 2002, 11:57:12 AM

Thats what makes it 'news for nerds'

Posted by AnyoneEB [send private reply] at September 04, 2002, 07:25:44 AM

I read /., but I don't post much, never got mod points.

Posted by unknown_lamer [send private reply] at September 04, 2002, 08:13:35 AM

I have mod points right now even! Every other week...

Posted by mop [send private reply] at September 04, 2002, 08:23:37 AM

Both of the two posts I've made have only gotten 1 point, I think one might have gotten 2 points

I read the slashdot news regularly, but not the forums.
