Old news :)
I think gamedev has a mirror of the source too BTW

Wow, great! Lets make a VB port of it! ;-)

Lets port it to SDL, GTK|QT and openGL (oh wait... it already is openGL)

I was joking... I'm hoping you were too...

Well, considering in that post, I was about to suggest porting it to Perl, I guess I was :p

Why not to Darkbasic?

Because DarkBasic sucks :)
An SDL port would be interesting, but isn't Quake already cross-platform??

Great... If I ever want my brain to explode I'll take a look at it...

Posted by gian [send private reply] at January 01, 2002, 11:07:42 PM

Wouldn't take much to do that now, would it?

CodeRed: If you want your brain to explode copy and paste the following URI into your browser: http://danewmoon.curvedspaces.com/isane/forpong.tar.bz2 and read the SDL code...

It is a pong game incase you did not figure it out from the URI... a pong game in the tradition of Pouya's Tetris in 33 Lines :D

It's quite cross-platform. The distribution includes ports for Win'98, Linux, Solaris, Unix and Irix.

Relnev ported Quake2 to use a SDL based soft and GL renderer, and as of 0.0.8 of his port, there is a fully sdl version for SDL sound and CD music. Woo. http://www.icculus.org/~relnev/main.php. It is in CVS now, and there is a mailing list for it. (Check the main icculus.org news).
